Laundry collection and delivery in Upton
Upton is a town just north of Hamworthy, built around the crossroads where the Blandford-to-Hamworthy road meets the main Poole-to-Dorchester road — today the junction of the A350 and the A35. It belongs to the parish of Lytchett Minster and Upton in the Dorset Council area, but its streets run straight on into Poole. It is mostly residential and ringed by open space: Upton Heath to the north, Upton Wood and Upton Country Park towards Holes Bay to the east, and Lytchett Bay to the south. Its postcode, BH16, is also one of the busiest on our Poole round.

Upton Clock Tower, built at the crossroads in 2000 to mark the millennium, is the easiest landmark to give a driver. To the east, Upton House — a Georgian mansion built in 1816–18 by Christopher Spurrier, whose family made its money in the Newfoundland trade — stands in Upton Country Park, open to the public since 1976 and home to a Saturday morning parkrun.
