Laundry collection and delivery around Tower Park
Tower Park is a leisure and retail park at Mannings Heath, on the northern side of Poole in BH12. It opened in 1989 on 53 acres of heathland as one of the first complexes of its kind in Europe, and today its buildings hold a multiplex cinema, the Splashdown Waterpark with 13 flumes, a bowling alley, bingo, a children’s soft play, a gym, a Tesco superstore and a plaza of restaurants. Around it are homes on one side and business estates on the other — Foxholes, the eastern streets of Canford Heath and Alderney, and the units of Mannings Heath — so we collect household and business laundry here on the same round.
Where around Tower Park we collect
We collect from the houses and flats of Foxholes, the Canford Heath streets nearest the park and the roads of Alderney, as well as from Tower Park itself and the business estates of Mannings Heath, across BH12 and BH17. Canford Heath, Alderney and Newtown are on the same rounds, so an address on the boundary is covered too.
The park was the idea of local businessman Bill Riddle, who ran a landfill site in the area and helped fund it by selling land at Mannings Heath to Tesco. Its first line-up included the Ice Trax skating rink and The Venue, an 1,850-capacity nightclub that became one of the country’s leading superclubs before closing in 1999; a £5 million refurbishment in 2004 added restaurant units around the open plaza.
What we collect around here
For homes near the park it is the everyday service: clothes, towels and bed linen washed, dried and folded, duvets too big for a home machine, shirts ironed and suits or coats sent for dry cleaning. For restaurants, the gym, leisure businesses and firms on the estates it is a repeating collection on the day that suits you — bath and hand towels, tea towels, table linen, aprons, chef’s whites and washable staff uniforms, brought back clean.
Households book through the same form as the rest of our Poole service, and businesses can ask for commercial rates before the first collection.
