Penn Hill lies between Lower Parkstone and the coast at Canford Cliffs and Sandbanks, and is often described as effectively part of Parkstone. It is one of Poole’s most settled wards: about 11,400 people in some 4,500 homes at the 2011 census, with more than eight in ten owner-occupied. We cover the whole of Penn Hill across BH14 — Penn Hill Avenue and the village shops, the residential roads either side of it, and the streets running down towards Canford Cliffs and Lilliput. Lower Parkstone, Branksome, Branksome Park and Canford Cliffs are on the same rounds, so a house on the boundary is covered too.

Penn Hill Village is the easy reference point — the cluster of shops, cafés, restaurants and bars along Penn Hill Avenue, not far from the harbour and the beaches beyond Canford Cliffs.

What gets collected most around here
