Laundry collection and delivery in Highcliffe
Highcliffe sits on the cliffs at the eastern edge of Christchurch, with the New Forest to the north. It grew from hamlets such as Slop Pond, a cluster of thatched cottages for farm workers and fishermen, and took its name in Victorian times from the first house built on the high cliff. Today it is a quiet residential place with a village centre on Lymington Road — and with collection from the door, the laundry never goes in the car.

Highcliffe Castle is the landmark everyone knows — built between 1831 and 1835 for Lord Stuart de Rothesay in the Gothic Revival style, with medieval stonework brought over from French abbeys. Kaiser Wilhelm II stayed there in 1907, and Gordon Selfridge, founder of the London department store, rented it from 1916 to 1922.
