Westbourne Launderette in Bournemouth

Seems like something is always faulty. Wachine machine 4 wouldn't spin today. Needed to spend an extra £5 to dry my clothes. Even the dryers now don't work.

Very dirty and unhygienic. Machines and floors were unclean – won’t be coming back.

A few times I’ve lost money in the dryer machines. So annoying because it’s hard enough to get the cash in the first place!
Does anyone know if the new card machine inside pays for use of the tumbler driers? As one customer (also lost money in the drier at the same time) said the card machine is only for the washing machines?

EDIT: I just realised that the owner answered this review a few months ago and has taken onboard so much of what I said. There is plenty of extra seating in the launderette and I see he is now installing a card payment device. I am really impressed with the effort the new owner is putting into my local launderette. It's wonderful to see a business really listen to a regular customer. I don't know if the owner will see this update. If you do, thanks for the effort you're putting in to the business. I've marked up a star. Just one star for now, but if things continue to improve like this then it will soon be 5. I've been using Westbourne Launderette since 2006. It's been a tough number of years, but nice to see things are changing.

EDIT 2: I am so pleased to see that the new owner has installed a card payment interface. This is a game changer for Westbourne Launderette. The new owner really appears to be putting every thing into a launderette that had been rather neglected for some years. Thanks.

I've decided to remove most of my original review. The door opening is consistent now, and it's good hours too. You can see change in the launderette; new paint, machines being fixed and working regular, and the card payment.

I hope the new owner's efforts are rewarded with new, or returning, customers.

I feel more than happy to up my review to 5 stars.
