Talbot Woods is a residential part of Bournemouth between Talbot Village to the north and Meyrick Park to the south, in BH3 and the edge of BH4, and it is known for its high house prices. Several of its roads carry Scottish place names — Roslin, Huntly, Keith, Rothesay and Glenferness. Talbot Heath School on Rothesay Road was founded in 1886 as Bournemouth High School and moved into buildings by Hubert Worthington in 1935; Virginia Wade and Shirley Williams were among its pupils.
